Your Success in P.E.

We know that students are at varying ability levels.  We don't expect students to be able to do everything well, but we do expect them to try.  Even if students are struggling, they shouldn't give up.   Before they know it, they are achieving their goals.

I am one of two P.E. teachers at Prairie Trail School.  I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.  I then received a Master of Art in Teaching from Dominican University.  I also take continuing education courses through Augustana University.  I enjoy both playing and watching sports.  In high school, I played basketball, volleyball, softball, and bowling.  My bowling team made 9th place in the state.  My favorite sports to play are volleyball and softball.  I am an avid Blackhawks, Bears, Cubs, and Illini fan.  My goal as a P.E. teacher is to keep students active and healthy, while interacting with others in positive ways.  Having good physical, emotional, and social health will lead to positive outcomes not just in school, but in life.  We have heard the saying before, "It's not about winning, but how you play the game."
